Role Overview
HealthPoint is hiring a compassionate Practice Nurse in Harare to deliver safe clinical support and assist general practitioners with patient evaluation and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform initial patient check-ups by recording vital signs, collecting medical backgrounds, and executing preliminary triage. Support physicians during physical checks and minor medical interventions. Deliver ordered treatments, immunizations, and shots, alongside applying wound dressings. Execute standard clinical tasks such as specimen gathering and diagnostic testing. Document patient details securely, adhering to data privacy rules and reporting any breaches. Oversee medical inventory, enforce hygiene and infection controls, and inspect emergency apparatus. Direct clinic visitor flow, appointments, and medical referrals while identifying and reacting to health emergencies.
Requirements
Hold a current Registered Nurse license issued by the appropriate governing board in Zimbabwe. Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional nursing practice, with general practice or primary healthcare background considered an advantage. Demonstrate proficiency in vital medical assessments, urgent care response, infection control, and privacy compliance involving local data protection legislation.
