Role Overview

An employment opportunity has opened for a Senior Storesman in Harare. The appointee will coordinate inventory processes, manage warehouse personnel, and maintain stock accuracy in alignment with internal guidelines.

Core Duties

The incumbent will support the Stores Controller to hit inventory precision goals and prevent shrinkage. Daily duties involve scheduling junior warehouse staff, tracking stock thresholds, processing incoming deliveries, checking inventory values, and updating ledger records. Additional obligations include executing weekly cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, handling procurement communication, enforcing FIFO and FEFO rotation, overseeing cold storage temperatures, upholding 5S sanitation standards, and enforcing workplace safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must possess a Diploma in Stores Management, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Warehousing, Business Management, or an equivalent discipline. A minimum of two years of background working inside a warehouse, stores department, or inventory management setting is required, alongside computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software. Prior exposure to FMCG, manufacturing, food processing, or refrigerated storage environments serves as a beneficial advantage.
